This work was made in response to the stories of people defending their homes with guns from mobs of protestors in the Spring of 2020. I made the subject African American and the home futuristic to add another layer to the discussion; imagining the same dynamic under totally different and anachronistic circumstances. The addition of rain is my foreshadowing of bad things to come; the driveway is a literal & figurative slippery slope.
